Entrepreneurship and a Look Inside the Private Board, with Dan Frasier
Exploring the construction and relevance for board advisors in smaller organizations.
Private company boards are often shrouded in mystery; however, they can be an asset to a company and essential for building a board portfolio. As Dan Frasier joins us today, we dive into the intricacies of constructing and participating in a private company board.
Dan is the CEO of Cornerstone Commissioning, a Massachusetts-based consulting engineering firm specializing in facility performance verification services for biomedical research facilities. He founded the firm 20 years ago to serve pharmaceutical, government and university clients. His background in construction comes from growing up in a five-generation mechanical contracting firm his great grandfather started in 1918. Dan and his wife, Lois, live in Winchester and have three adult children and will become grandparents in June, 2021.
In today’s episode, Dan dives into his personal experience constructing a board, sharing essential tips he learned along the way. We also discuss networking and steps to landing a private board seat. You won’t want to miss this episode of Boardroom Bound!
