Positioning Yourself as a Potential Board Member, and Networking Essentials, with Dorlisa Flur
Essential components that comprise a successful candidate.
Executing your networking strategies effectively is essential for advancing your cause. As Dorlisa Flur joins us today, she explores metrics for determining success in networking, and shares from her experience learning what is effective.
Dorlisa is a corporate director and strategic advisor. She currently serves on three corporate boards — two for public retailers (Hibbett Sports, Sally Beauty Holdings), private food warehousing/ logistics company owned by diversified U.K. conglomerate — and also advises a large private grocer (Southeastern Grocers). Before embarking on her board journey, Dorlisa divided her 30-year career almost equally between consulting at McKinsey & Company and a series of C-suite operating roles in retail (dollar, department store, grocery).
